It is a free service provided by O’Brien County and the State of Iowa, however normal message fees may apply. You can opt to receive text messages to your cellphone, your cell phone must have test messaging capabilities. Notifications are dependant upon external providers and as such receipt of notifications by the intended recipient cannot be guaranteed. You can receive Severe Weather alerts and other alerts as well. More information will become available in the coming weeks! Stay tuned!

Coming in the near future will be a completely new website for the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office. Plans are moving forward on a new website after the County Board approved of a firm to provide a new one. The current website was produced and maintained by the Sheriff Michael Anderson who will be retiring soon.
